INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY

TODAY Wamedes exists solely as a legacy multipurpose server hosted in downtown Seattle. Accounts hosted by the Wamedes server are managed and maintained for the sole purpose of covering the hosting and maintenance expenses. The server is managed by the founder of Social GameWorks and continues to provide a number of services for friends and former Wamedes customers.

1996 - 2007 The Wamedes consulting group saw a need and eventually developed the Linux-based Firegate Server product designed to provide secure and affordable Internet connectivity to small businesses. In 2000, the Firegate project was incorporated into Wiresoft Net, Inc. to continue to develop and expand market opportunities for the Firegate product. In 2004, Ovid Stavrica developed the Sentry advanced firewall product that is still sold by Wiresoft today.

1995 - 2002 Wamedes Inc. was a joint venture between Sanford Wright and Ovid Stavrica. It offered dialup, DSL and Frame Relay Internet connectivity solutions complete with network consulting as well as software procurement, installation and configuration services. Wamedes Incorporated was dissolved in 2006.
